Mmmmm...went through there this afternoon. Pity about all those houses at the Tauwhare end, eh.

Always happier coming back towards Tauwhare than going the other way. For reasons I cannot begin to imagine. Just one of dem t'ings I guess.

She's a smart one. Getting ya when you're venerable :-) but I'll bet you'll be up the front singing ya nuts off! I'll let the folks know. They don't really know Auckland that well anymore. They know where vector is now which is a bonus!

Will also add this to the standard calendar so we can estimate how many people will turn up.
Possible afternoon shower - bit like cyclone lusi - yeah right

    Link to the calendar event.

I'd suggest coming through via Cobham drive would be easiest from Te Rapa.
Since I've already put the meeting place at Kingsgate Hotel (Garnett Avenue) for 10:45am to leave at 11:00am, the people on Te Rapa side can start from there, and we'll head across to the Hillcrest Caltex asap (11:10-11:15) to meet up with you and whoever else is on Hillcrest side of town. That's probably the easiest way to do it. I'll have my GoPro with me, so I should be able to get some decent footage

See everyone who's coming to the Blues Festival tomorrow.

    A> 10:45am Kingsgate Hotel
    B> 11:10am Hillcrest Caltex
    C> 12:00ish Okoroire Hotel via Scotsman's Valley

That is nice. Bit rich for my blood right now though! And you are spot on, I am booked in just after Easter.

Anyone headed to Taupo to watch the superbikes? If I end up going I will be taking the car, need to get the bike checked, something looking odd with suspension on one side. Black 2-3cm large rubber(?) ring thing sitting on top of cylinder. Almost looks like a bump-stop or something.

My latest bike video Sadly I ran out of room on my MicroSD card, and couldn't film the ride back (which I think was way more fun)

What way did you come back?? If you had stayed with Nigel he would have taken you on some pretty neat roads (while he was still going)

And Your Average Speed Would Be?

To go from Hamilton to Tauranga in 50 mins can you tell me what your average speed would be. I hope you carry a detector otherwise if the nice man in the pretty car catches you may end up walking.

Of course I may be able to do a deal for you on a work licence. This will cost you at lear $1,000.00 and will not extend to your motorcycle.

Just above 100kph and yes detector carried as mum warned me about talking to strange men in pretty cars.

re. work license, don't need one but thanks for the offer though
