    Rego expiry date

Yes with the MR27 you can set any date (after the date your current rego expires) up to 15 months from the day you complete the form. I did it a month ago when my 1200 was due and I thought I would get in a bit more summer-time riding (wrong!!) so set the date the WoF expired (which coincidentally is today. Shortly after extending the Rego period, I filled in the online thingy to put the bike rego on hold - this takes effect once the rego expires. If you fail to put your rego on hold, you will either have to pay for the gap in rego or after 12 months(?) your bike is deregistered (bad). Last year I also set the last day of rego to the day after the March Hare rally. Cop at the breath test at the rally thought I was 'cutting it fine' but it was just good management

I only use the MR27 now as I alternate rego between my two bikes. DRZ will be rego'ed in a few days thru to late Sept. Never had any problem with counter staff at the AA testing station.

    Easy routine to follow:
    1. Before current rego expires or while rego on hold, use MR27 to set expiry date X days months in the future and ride da bike
    2. Within a few days of 1. put bike rego on hold for 12 months
    3. Over 3 months after rego (in 1. above) runs out and before 12 month hold period expires, repeat from 1. above and ride da bike.
I have just found out that they have removed the word gullible from the dictionary

An even more simple routine to follow would be:
    1. Place rego on hold for 12 months, then after nearly a year is up, try to remember to put bike rego on hold for another 12 months
    2. Ride bike

Yes but if 'they' do it this way, folks who don't know better will have to pay out for 3 months and that way 'they' make more money

sent from my phone (so scuze auto correct typos)

Bingo, exactly why you have to visit an agent and can't do it on line.

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.
