With the previous bike it seemed to be a good one and Bautista is a good rider, but neither of them was a leader of the pack. Even on a factory backed Honda Bautista hasn't managed more than a few podiums sprinkled amongst the DNFs. It would've been really interesting to see what a leading rider could've done on that Suzuki.
Wonder if that sorta money would tempt Rossi? The Suzuki was always better than the Ducati is now when they went four stroke. As the only bike out there running conventional firing order to boot. The new one is big bang by the sound of the thing, so might match initial punch off the turns this time round.

Rossi is whom I would love see on it, and he can pull as many dollars out of the air that he wants but doubt he is going to gamble again.

Not quite sure what you mean there Drew. Bautista's Suzuki was a V4. It was the sweetest sounding of the GP bikes too.

I reckon it was a tie between that and the Honda when it was a V-5

It fired like a road going V4. Not big bang, or cross plane.

Never heard the V5 in the flesh, but the GSVR sounded nicest when I did go.

The v-5 had a real angry drone sound to it. The GSVR sounded like the bully at the beach about to kick sand in everyone else's face. Pity it didn't.

I saw a video of the V5 prototype.
It sounded like a cross between a Stage 3 RX3 and a WRX STI.
    Angry is a good description.

Yeah was a very cool engine. Pity we'll not see such cool things again.
