You'd be surprised how much the chat on here (yes, even Skoobers and Akzles) informs the opinions I hold. That's why I occasionally post stuff on here, to see what people think. If I didn't care, I wouldn't bother.
That's all good, well some feedback useful or not from my interactions.
Two speed tickets in trucks, first one early in career and adjusted my behaviour when realised they do work anywhere anytime... Second one more recent but I put it down to letting my guard down/wrong place wrong time (12k over in Maramarua at 4am FFS), result zero change in behaviour. Although I did rejoice in previously having been the only employee left with a clean licence that it would impact on my rogue employers operator safety rating.
Its all small potatoes compared to the industrial level offending you get away with in trucking due to poor enforcement techniques, although technology is changing that slowly...

Motorbikes: One speed ticket by Mufti in early days and few years later a friendly warning from one of the good cops on taupo rd for doing 118 in wet...

Zero tickets in car and my cages have done few kms at times. But generally don't speed in car...

The biggest factor on changing my riding I'd say was when they dropped the limit for instant licence loss/impound down to 40k over which as you'll be aware is so easily done on a bike when briskly overtaking etc...
So to avoid that scenario means thinking ahead more and setting oneself tighter boundries.

Or maybe I agree with a lot of whats said.

I still write a few if it's in places where crashes happen, as when a crash happens (for whatever reason) the faster the speed, the worse the outcome.

As noted, just trollin really. Every thread with speed as the subject gets plenty of response. Interesting. Pity people didn't care as much about the fuck ups that cause crashes, like overtaking on the left in stupid places.

Poker runs mate...seriously if ever there was motorcycling shit that needed sorting it would be them no matter what good cause there supposedly for,all intentions aside after the 3rd stop it becomes a fucking wobble fest of new leathered recently divorced bandana wearing rebels making a whole lotta noise going nowhere slowly but still managing to fuck off every other road user that has to swerve out of there way.Gets worse if they make it out of the pub car park.

This only follows for the same vehicle at that same instant in time.

For example, given the same speed at the time the brakes are applied worn out tyres will result in more carnage than ones in good nick.
