    I don't know if you have but it is worth reporting it to the Feds. Along with your suspicions and that loose description etc. Bastard luck, sigh.

    Travel through Auckland everyday so will keep an eye out for your pride and joy and give you a message if i spot it. Not sure what i will do with the current proprietor, perhaps get my 70kg dog to rough him/her up a little ... LOL

    Yeah I looked at an hour ago, now its gone, its also gone off their bikes for sale on their website

    Maybe they sold it ex-trademe???

    Fair's fair! They found Mrs Oakie's stolen bike (or what was left of it) and got the guys who did it thrown in jail. They didn't achieve recovery of the bike but they did achieve a bit of justice for her.
