Ok, who is gonna provide a venue and organise a decent number of members to sit down and go over our concerns?
I will help where I can. But wouldn't have the slightest clue where to begin.
Question. Is this how a mutiny starts?
...calling the governing body on points where they have not subscribed to the correct way to deal with members questions, pleas and constitutional obligations, is not a mutiny...it's called cleaning up OUR shit...if it is not cleaned up, this conversation will still be going on when you've forgotten you used to race a bike/chair...the biggest thing going in their favour is that it never gets past the unhappiness and talking stage... no action=no change...they are not the 'dark lords'...they're just happy to keep it all as it is...why?...fucked if I know...human nature?, the kiwi way?...the Dave- post is the first time I have really ever heard someone come up with a starting grid arrangement...
I will do what ever go where ever this can take place. I like the idea of Taupo as it is quite central to all the Nth Island at least, and there must be school hall or some thing there that could be rented for a get together brain storm. Of course my vote will not count though as I have been refused a licence due to a Rumour on the internet, but still not heard anything officually nor had my paper work or bank cheque returned.I have requested via email for MNZ to clarify the clause/rule that I have broken for them not to issue me with a licence, but as above, had nothing from them.
My input would have little value. I know Shaun's would have as little.
So. Who should be there?
Hmmm... I like the sound of Taupo.....
I'll even get you and Shaun a room Drew......![]()
Is it still beastiality if ya fuck a frozen chicken??
I know my limitations. Keeping multiple issues in oreder and expressing them is not my strongest suit.
Shit, I don't even know half of the problems.
Do we invite the board to this get together?
I'll stay at yours, but only if I can share a room with you.
Ok , I wasn't going to say anything , but the way you guys are going on is that it is only the last three to six years that there has been problems.
The sport has in my forty odd years around it has always had behind the scenes manipulation going on. It is nothing new. The Male and Female ACU/MNZ presidents before the current one have been no better , let alone the CEO's. If you want to do something ORGANISE a special general meeting , so you can air your concerns (then attend it). For fuck sake this tit for tat shit is wearing all the good people within the MNZ organisation down. As I say you have the avenue (if you are a member), My opinion on the cheating confession and penalty what a waste of time and energy from all sides and who cares anyway? I know there has been a bit of pot calling kettle going on. I continue to be involved in some small way , I haven't run away , I'm not 100% happy with the way things are done in the sport at times , but I probably never will be , thats Life.
This could be the most constructive thread ever, in the history of KB.
Provided we follow through. I'm no organiser, someone start doing that and tell me what to do.
A meeting isn't the first step.
Collate the issues and more importantly, back everything up with documented proof.
Doing this needs to be done before any sort of meeting takes place, otherwise it turns into a KB thread in real life (big difference being someone might actually get punched in the face).
Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity
I don't think a single meeting in a central location will necessarily work because of the negative side of groupthink (basically a circlejerk). Also a decent chunk of people wouldn't be able to attend. And if you post your group 'findings' on here they might stifle valid ideas of others. But go ahead by all means, just my thoughts.
Instead I would suggest we hold an open forum....on the forums....I don't think this whole 'mutiny' is something that can be done quickly, nor in one session. I think it needs to go through an iterative process of discussion and finalisation.
My suggestion, feel free to expand, discuss or outright disagree:
Step 1)
New Thread, rules:
- One post per person answering a few basic broad questions like: what's wrong? why is it wrong? what do you think can be done to fix it?
- Edit your one post to refine or update your answer.
- After 3 (or some number) weeks the common problems and their potential solutions will be collated.
Step 2)
New Thread/Poll, first post contains the issues, how we think they can be solved. Written in formal language.
3 weeks to vote whether you agree or not (can change vote) after Three (??) weeks, if over 60% (60% more/less?) of the votes are in agreement then those 60% send off the email as it is written in the first post. The remaining % send whatever they want.
6 weeks from today puts us at the 19th of September. Still time to sort shit out?
