crikey! you would have to REALLY want one of those to spend that sort of money on it. Hard to see the business case for it....

It almost seems reasonable compared to this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-789452429.htm
Or you could have a pink one.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
A family sized motorcycle? It's not a motorcycle, it's a trike. Riding that you're not a motorcyclist. I'm not surprised they don't want to be known as trikers though, would you want to admit you ride something that ugly?

You shouldn't need to email anybody it's all available on the web. Asians tend to have a longer narrower head shape than Europeans so Arai make different model helmets for different head shapes: oval, long oval, etc. You need to do your homework before you buy an Arai from overseas, you need to know which models come in which headshapes and which will fit you. I bought an Arai that was on "special" in the USA but I already had an Arai and knew all this so was OK.
When you get it right there is no more comfortable helmet.
Then again this has all been discussed on KB in some depth previously.

Arai was most comfortable and treasured but they don't come out so well in Sharp tests for side impact, so I figured Sharp must be cobblers. I took a while and read their testing methodology and could only conclude. That they appeared to be well motivated and well researched so maybe they did have a point. Maybe the min std all helmets are pretty good if they pass snell or dot is a myth. Anyways. .. .

There's a shit load of stuff around the web on this. Arai say that the place Sharp do the side impact test is unlikely to be hit because the rider's shoulder would prevent contact with the ground at that point. I still think Sharp need to refine their methodology, it's like they sat a helmet on a table and decided to test it' "here, here, and here." Alas, it seems no real world riding considerations were involved.
Some doctors feel the Snell test makes for an excessively stiff helmet shell and that a more flexible shell (as with some European designs) is better.
As always, you pays your money and you makes your choice, but I don't feel any less safe in an Arai than I do in my "five star" AGV.
