Likeable enough, doesn't give you a hard on.
Doesn't get the pulse racing, but you'd be hard pushed to find a better distance commuter.

Stupid phone / Tapatalk, apologies in advance.
Loved my 1300, double pack/tank bag and two up and the bike was comfortable as hell in top, no need to use the left foot at all when passing, just wind it on.

How about a nice Buell 1125CR.

How about an electric mountain bike?
We've had a couple of electric bikes for a couple of years now - much easier to perambulate on........

It would take just the tiniest excuse for me to buy my old one back given the chance.

The Bandits are similar, except less refined. Honda fours tend to do the job so well they're dreary.
    That's why V4 is good.
    Ducatis are shit BTW.

I do wonder if the fact it gets 99% of its use to and from work? Maybe I should test that theory with a 6 month riding holiday? Dreaming.

I also wonder if it just suffers because the last full road bike was the bus? Not that still got the blood flowing 9 years in.

I know what you mean with a Hornet. I tried to like it, I really did. But now with a VTR, happy days. Not the fastest or the flashest but does me just fine.

My partner just had her ankle fused for the same problem. Seems to have fixed the pain.

I'm a drummer, dude. If I want to keep playing drums the ankle stays how it is. I don't have the time to invest in learning new techniques to get back to where I am. I'm not complaining about it. It's how it is.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Cool, its all about what works for you. For my Girl the pain was to much just to walk. I just need to come up with a gear shift system so she can ride.

Some people have me down as an utter grumpy bastard, but when your tib and fib slip off the top of your foot from time to time and it has to bashed back into place and it feels like there's glass jammed in there, it's difficult to stay "positive".

then you become a positively grumpy bastard? chronic pain like that tends to be intrusive. If someone doesnt get it...mehhhhh

Have you considered a multibike garage? Buy a couple or four, explain to them all that whichever one does not perform or make its case to be kept gets the heave ho?

Money should not be an issue, put a kidney on TradeMe......doesn't have to be yours.

The other surefire financial plan is to raffle your house, $20 a ticket. Whoever wins just tell them the raffle was cancelled and refund their money with a dozen of their favourite brew to show no hard feelings....

I blew my right ankle into around 20 pieces a while back. Came as close as you'd want to, to having my foot amputated. Was arthritic as all hell. Put up with it for 8 years. Finally had a triple fusion done last year. Good as gold. Stops me doing very little.
