Loads of videos on Youtube for repacking - I followed this - if the muffler is used it will not go as easily as the video as they use a new pipe! Cheats!!!! Allow time and beers ..... beers helped. And swearing - I had lots of that.

Im lucky I have 3 types of rivet guns for stainless including a battery operated one available.
I should have taken a true side on photo as the one I posted is on a angle making it look longer than it is.
Personally I think its on the borderline of long.

Made a muffler bracket from a FZR1000W front axel. Bit of the old race bike for old times sake.

Ordered some mirrors and installed the alternator shunt resistor circuit.

I assume you mean pipe that up through what is the wiring relay box area and move those items to other areas leaving a large hollow area on the rt side

Would be a good spot for battery and radiator overflow I guess.
Might need to give this some thought as the length of the rubber connecting pipe wouldn't effect the way the bike would run I guess.

Some have turned the secondary airbox around 180 degrees making the bosh unit come out the left side of the bike facing forwards.
I am liking this bike... love the lines. I want one.
Problem is wife says ... one in and one out. That does not work for me!

I solved my cash flow problem and took some of my workmates on call weeks.
Powdercoat wheels is next I think.
Maybe a trip to the saddler /seat builder to get a seat pad made.
    Any recommendations in Wellington guys.
I got a gs1200ss seat built up higher about 7 odd years ago.
Im having trouble recalling the location but I think it was in Newtown near VTNZ.

Have it running and sounding moderately loud even with the quieting baffle inserted.
Seems a little rich so will need probe it from behind and set the idle mixture on the bosh unit.
Bit of a pause when throttle on. When lean it down the pause goes away but idles a little high. Best get the mixture at idle sorted then back off the idle speed after I would assume.

Shit no - that seat above this has no padding of any value and looks uck. Look cooler and may even be more comfortable if you carved one out of rimu and polished it with oil.

Excuse me but Ichiban Moto is a master bike builder and his work is beyond reproach!
    You must redeem yourself immediately!

Final brake coupling arrived so reassembled front brakes.

I went to Super Cheap Autos today and bought a one man brake bleed kit for $16.

    Best purchase ever.

I had spent 2 hrs bleeding brakes last night thought I had it perfect.

Hooked the kit which goes onto both front brakes at same time. 1/4 turn open both nipples and pump brakes. Pumped about 200ml through and out came the crud and worst of all was 2 good size air bubbles that my efforts last night had not got.

Took about 10mins all up including working out how to assemble it.

Stuck it on the rear brakes on the zx14r also just for another trial. 5mins done.

Pet hate was brake bleed. Not now its one of the easiest jobs to do.

    Installed mirrors also.

Sorry about the phone recording though.

Speedo arrived. Even smaller than I thought it would be.
