I wasn't sure what ferry I'd be on until I got to the terminal this morning. You could've just gone to Pelorous and waited....and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited and I would've ridden past at some stage

Well I called in to Pelorus at some stage today & you weren't there.

Couldn't work out how we coulda got the timing mixed up.

Oh wait... you said you were coming over on the ferry at some stage - and we were sposed to meet at Pelorus or something.

I rode past something & completely forgot to stop & see if you were there

Now my DR has a pair of forks that have shown they don't leak, I can safely(ish) ride it off road again.

Mine was a simple mixture adjustment. Must have shaken it's self a bit loose and was running rich.

Can't tomorrow as I have family commitments but maybe next weekend? Heaps of bikes on the road including a number of adventure bikes that mostly looked to be from out of town.

I went for a nice ride up Ben Nevis, Wairoa Valley and the hills behind Wakefield. Then continued on round on a loop to come out at Stanley Brook, Sunday Creek and Upper Moutere for an Ice Cream. Think it was about 200Km in total.
