    the big end is even smaller than a nc30-fzr400 which is what i was going to replace it with

    93mm centre to centre peiceing it together , small end 15mm , bigend 29mm ,shells 1.5 thick so 26mm with them ...good if you can help (-:

    Sorry - closest to that I've seen would be a honda industrial motor - or my air compressor...

    Most of the 600's are over 100mm ctoc, the 400's as you've found are bigger in the bigend...don't know about the 250/4's. Suzuki GSX250 twin?
    Speedpro got spare rods from his cut down 250 four ?

    Grab some shafting from a Caterpillar and start filing...

    I have a 3ln in bits here......... They are tiny............pretty sure 14mm pin

    whats the VT250 I have one of those here somewhere.......but they are 16mm pin

    didnt take too long to find the weak link, fxrs are still king for another day

    Don't worry so much re the big end of the rod as you can get thicker bearings or sleeve the rod to suit your bearing.
    question is why did it snap is there still oil supply to the big end?
