No, you cannot change the reserve once bidding has started. I'm not even sure you can change it before then.

No, once someone has bid, it is firm, cannot edit...

Can change it as many times as you want to until someone bids. The time of the ending can only be changed a few times though...again until someone bids...

no idea - hadnt even thought of that. I might ask him what he really wants for it and to remove my bid.

You've probably convinced him it's worth at least $7k. Now he'll never sell it for less.

Since all the bidding was by HenryDorsetCase I think he's going to figure out a year from now that there was only one buyer interested at 7K who's no longer interested.

I could break the bad news to him I guess.... $5k I would have bought it.

Now I will use that money to pay tax, because apparently getting put in jail for not paying tax means you can't go out and earn more money to pay more tax.....

Do you want to keep it for another year? Right now is a good time to be out on a bike, another couple of months there will be less buyers and therefore a harder sell (lower value). I would think even in the best market a non-LAMS 600 would be hard sell but even more so now with Suzuki's deals at the moment on new bikes.

Listing it at your rock bottom price rather than dropping your asking price every week or two. Let bidding decide if it's worth more while buyers are out looking for a bike. If you don't get any bidders keep the bike and ride it more...

this is not the same comparison. There were some significant differences between the 2007 and 2008 models.

I am not in a hurry to sell. Obviously the first price was way too high. I have dropped the price to see where the market actually is. I have no problem keeping the bike as its a nice bike and i dont ride enough to make a significant difference (in kms or condition) to the bike. I am sure i will be able to get similar price for it even in a few months.

Also, mine is an asking price and the other one is an auction starting at $7k. Not the final price.
