If that was who waved at the bearded dude with a nearly one year old. Hard to tell with the sun behind.

When the group was approaching I instinctively nodded then had a good laugh at that. Meanwhile miss started jumping up and down on my hip and waving.
When the biker waved back she giggled like a looney. Miss 2 was waving frantically from inside the car.

    Night made.

    Yes, massive fans.

Miss 2 yells excitedly every time she sees a bike IRL.

Pro Tip, the build date is written on the tyre. Tell me when yours were made....
Okay, so I checked my tyres. Turns out both were manufactured in week 40 of 2014.

Here are some interesting (or possibly, depending on your point of view, mind-numbingly boring and pointless) stats about last Tuesday's ride:

Distances: My home to Z Takanini: 31Kms. Z Takanini to where we stopped at Mercer: 52Kms. Mercer to Broncos, Manukau: 58Kms. Broncos to (my) home: 24Kms.
Total Kms ridden: 165. (The ride took my odo from 93Kms when I started up to 258Kms when I got home.)

Fuel: From filling up at Z Takanini to filling up at Z Mt Albert at the end of the ride: 6.18Ltrs consumed to do 134Kms trip, which equates to 4.61L/100Kms.

I thought that when I wasn't there you did bigger rides. Apparently this is not so.
I can fill at the beginning (put my mileage to zero) and when we get to Broncos (often missing the carpark) it is reading just over 100 kms. This is when we do Waiuku Tuakau Karaka loop

You guys need to toughen up and do a big ride when you say you're going to.

I can see a challenge here......

Date wrong. Got to go back to that dreaded four letter work to appease the creditors. Were thinking next week or weekafter but weather starting to look like mush. Never mind it aint going away.
Spent most of day riding. Out on the GSX round waiaua pa this morning(roadworks by 7 day cafe n vege place. Note for tuesday ride). Then after some home chores out to Clevedon on the VL. Cant waste these great days.

last week I did the tues night ride

i did did the same run Thursday and included the end of the waiuku run, grandas favourite
made it home just in time for curfew. Unlike Tuesday when we got talking.

i have already done a big ride recently, it wasn't a challenge. It was a great boogie out in the middle of the island. It was a great unplanned trip. No balls no car parks. Just me and the road, and the odd other road user, who were very nice. The roads were on the whole much better than Sth all tar bleed crap.

pity more SASS members weren't on the ride.

i passed Yes I PASSED about 20 other bikers who were pooling along on their Harley's.
very gratious they were too true story

    CHALLENGE

maybe we should do a 300 k run no fuel stops that would be a challenge

My current big rides tend to be round and round in circles.

    Thats about to change.

Tuesdays if Im picking up Sharry are in the 200 to 250k range.

You do one hell off a lot of riding, even putting up with us, that's challenge enough.

i am going to do more longer rides in the next month or two. To see if that's what I want to do.
