It's taken me a long while to reconcile that even decent people can do stupid stuff in vehicles.

In fact, here's something I told a class at the Popo college today. Most people who crash their cars in NZ are just Mr and Mrs Public. Not gang members, boy racers, foreign tourists. Not those drop kicks wearing their ball caps sideways with their jeans hanging down their arse.

Just Mr and Mrs Average. Nice people who make basic human errors.

If you could get that put into one of those LTSA glossy TV ad's without the overt pigeon holeonisation that only they do then that would be a good legacy to leave behind.
Your a lucky bugger to have worked same job for so long, it will be interesting to see if coaxing a change in riders behaviour without threat of financial sanction, only the risk to their life if they fail to follow your instructions is easier or worse as an instructor.

Despite that fact that some of us, yes people like me, have failed to mature when it comes to riding and we do at times ride in a manner that may annoy Joe Public and the Police. OK totally annoys, you still put up with us and contributed to discussions. I do respect the tough job you guys have to do and the absolute scum you have to deal with at times.
