So you know fuck all other than what the NRA spoon feeds you?![]()
People are just too dumb to have as easy access to guns as the US and a for other countries make it. In an ideal world, they work, but then if it was so ideal you wouldn't need them anyway.
Have you ever had a crack on a fully auto gun?
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....
full auto empties a mag in 2 seconds. horrible thing to have in a panic

Not when your standing next to the truck with the door open and hand resting on the seat. When he pulled the scoot up on the trailer, I knew he was straight. I was 600 miles from home with a bunch of Ohio Yankees all over the place. That's why I shifted the meeting place to a more "public" venue as well, minimize the variables. It wasn't my first rodeo. Some people want to be robbed and should get it tattoo'd on their forehead. Like I said, it could've gone either way in this day and age. I'm getting old, I'm an easy target. I try to be smart, and work the situation to my advantage. The kind of bikes I mess with are fairly rare, and we are a small community, and you usually know someone, who knows who you are dealing with. I take steps to minimize the damage that can be visited upon me. Only thing I can say if you are going into a situation. Take control of the meeting place, meet in daylight where there are lots of John Q. Public around, try and bring a friend or two, if buying online, have extensive conversations with the seller, if it sounds to good to be true, it is. have a weapon of some type that you are familiar with and can access hurriedly. I kept the 9 MikeMike under the seat, even though I can carry it on my person legally concealed. I think to carry it in that situation was unwarranted as I changed the meeting place and no need to elevate something that does not exist. Lastly, never start trouble, just finish it. There is a reason I am still able to do so at 60 plus years old. I have demonstrated to the legal authority that I am not a hot head over an extended period of time. Daddy used to say,"If you carry a weapon, you think up reasons to use it" and he was right. My government actually sent me on a trip to Asia for my High School graduation trip. I have seen close up and personal what men can do to each other with weaponry. It ain't pretty. I am very reluctant to enter that realm again under any circumstance. I can see how kids who play video games can romanticize such situations, but it is not something you ever care to witness. I view (firearms) them as insurance policies. In civilian life I have never had to employ one in such a manner up to this point.
I didn't intend to fire that off as angry or anything, just playing devils advocate a bit. It's a pretty touchy subject for some, just about need to muzzle em.
I don't know much about the NRA either to be fair, just the media reports which I'm sure have added flash bits for show.
That's the rub though right there. Too many people who happen to not be well lit candles make a bunch of missteps which put them in bad situations, and they then argue they need guns to get out of the stink. Sometimes it's not even lack of intelligence, they're just too trusting/unaware for their own good.
They are the LAST people who should be carrying and making life and death decisions on the fly, and they far out number the reasonable amongst the population, but they will call you psychic and condescending if you try and point out that steps can be taken to avoid bad situations well before they happen.
I mean even an instructor got shot by a little girl there a few months back. That takes a special kind of stupid, ignorance or lack of respect for weapons right there, yet he was supposed to be teaching people how to use guns safely and correctly...
