    KTM 1190 rim air leakage?

Have had the front tyre on my KTM 1190 Adventure with a new Continental TKC 70 and air leaks out around spokes.
Was done at a bike shop and cannot see any damage on the rubber seal that covers the spoke ends but the air pisses out any suggestions http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/im...lies/frown.gif

This is why tubeless tyres with wire wheels was a stupid idea in the first place.

From a number of posts on advrider it is a too common result from where the person taking off the tyre munts the spokes seal. I've had rear tyres off 3 times so far (two punctures and one replace) at cycletreads and the guy who did it was super careful when I said it was off my 1190, so he was aware of the issue. No probs for me.

Get some Rim tape from a bike shop... and maybe some tubeless sealant also....

Tell that to BMW, their rims work ok but they weren't dumb enough to do it in a way you'd need to seal the spoke ends

Yamaha have done it like BMW on a couple of models too - but KTM couldn't copy BMW as they might lose face - and we think the japs are bad at that....
