    Non-destruction testers in New Plymouth?

I need a brake pedal NDT (non destruction test) tested in New Plymouth as part of getting my chop through the LVV certification process. I've found a few places on the net, but was wondering if anyone here could recommend one?

    cheers

SGS are the most professional as they do a lot of NDT for the likes of Shell/Todd Energy etc. in New Plymouth.

Is it more than just a 'note to the teacher' from M/c shop saying peddle is suitable for the job? Or does it need full Metalology Analyse?

If that's all that's needed, I could help a fellow KB'er out by doing that (once I was happy myself that it WAS up to the job) from my mechanic position at Northwest Motorcycles.

Thanks - they are one of the ones on the list to try on Monday

Sadly I need an LVV NDT test form completed for it, but thanks for your kind offer. It's been up to the job in the UK for over ten years, so hopefully should be ok on NDT as well.

Yet one can purchase cheap Chinese alloy brake and clutch levers over the internet without any knowledge of the materials or testing, fit them to your bike and pass a WOF ......

I do like how you can still f around with bikes in NZ and get away with a lot.

Went to SGS, were really quick and helpful and pedal passed no problem. Another hurdle crossed, now onto the next one!
