Far less effort than swinging a tomahawk for lordy-know how long...
Would you have swapped a blanket or Ponsonby for a Cresent...I'd have wanted Stahlwille or Hazet for that.

    Yup.

Next fun-fact: "Dipping" the Red Ensign is a sign of nautical "etiquette" which must be responded to in kind.
The most fun you can have doing this, was back when Mrs Queen used to putter around in Britannia. Her sailors were not used to such conduct (especially from a small yacht!) and could be regularly caught unawares - having to RUN to get to the halyard to return such gestures.

Or that as we modernise and some voters move onto mobile phones a poll of this nature limits is reach to those still on a full computer.

Much the same as gallup pools are limited to those who answer their home phone landlines during business hours.

I'd vote for that given the option, and I was against spending the money on it to begin with but if it's going to be done might as well make the most of it.

The ferns look like shit, and I don't like the idea of something that most of the population couldn't easily draw. If Johnny wants a fern maybe a modern, stylized easy to draw version would have been a goer (for me anyway) although I don't think it is a great representation for our country. Maybe if it gave us fern syrup...

The Koru option I don't like either. I think it is a better symbol than the fern (aware they are both concepts from the same plant) but the option put forth doesn't resonate.

As it is I will be voting to keep our current one, which without trawling through the thread (it's probably come up) I believe is our 3rd? flag anyway.

Saw that this morning before posting. Simple design so bound to be similar ideas out there. Still like it, would still vote for it.

While we're on the topic of comparison to logos....

I'm sure in about 15mins of looking I could find a few black Koru ones too.
