So I have an old Husqvarna trail bike from the 80's I have no idea where to start as the bike is completely stripped apart and I've never built a bike before, just looking for advice on where to even start, I think I have everything I need for the bike

Google the parts fiche make sure you actually do have everything.
As it was taken apart, when you got it there will likely be a reason for this as well.
Make a list of all the parts you need now.

probably start with a non-technical online forum. Dont mention the size, shape, colour or model of bike, or list your location. Dont offer anyone with a clue beers to look it over.

Step one.
How much are you prepared to spend on the build? Double it and double it again. Still happy?
Step 2. What do you want as a finished product?

The first thing to do is the frame. Remove the swingarm and steering head bearings and paint it. Factory colour is best, for ongoing value. Install the swingarm(painted?) and using new bearings, reinstall the steering head (painted or re finished however it needs to be. Then, wheels, then motor. But do it one step at a time and you won't have to concentrate mentally on the whole job all at once. You can post pics in the right section and you will get great advice from people who have done it before and might give you help with parts etc. good on ya for having a go.
