So here it is as it stands...or swings, as it were.
Hope you've got alignment sleeves around those cap screws (sandwiched between the two parts) or I think you'll find the removable arm will "work" and come loose or flog the holes out...IMHO

Yeah bro, sleeves welded into the swingarm and bolts go through those.

I've had many a laugh at folk who just chuck a bolt through box or tube, and can't figure out why it won't stay tight.

This bad boy is strong as all fuck. It is a fairly high stress application after all. But if it can sheer 3 out of 4 high tensile M8 cap screws, the wheel wouldn't withstand the impact anyway.

Al should have the axle clamps made this arvo, and the swingarm cut to accept them. If so and he doesn't get it put together while I'm away this weekend, I should be able to get it back on three wheels Monday night.

Then it's just the brakes to put on and we can do a run down his hill to buy a box of beer, to make sure it all works.

We'll get a test day in before the Shorai, or we won't be risking it.

Hey Nev. If we come to the Shorai, can you do a warrant on the chair for us? It's been over two years I have just realised.

Pretty fucking unlikely unless you're bringing down here to club days or something

Not talking about this chair. But I reckon a modern shorty with a Gixxer thou up it could still do the bizzo. The Windle was unbelievably stable and responsive when I rode it, if we get summat similar I'll be happy.

I look forward to the day someone has a good one and is taking it to the LCRs

Ancient history, they couldn't do it now

Correctly, they can't be fucked doing it now.
There's a hub centre gsxr1000 powered shorty for sale in Aus right now, buy it & show us up.
Are LCR's that much faster than they were in 2011?

Not much faster, but fast enough you wouldn't be able to do it whether you could be fucked or not

I think having Reeves out here might be a bit of an eye opener to just how fast the LCRs can be ridden and although they wont be at Shorai I'd expect Colin/Robbie to be a bit quicker now as well

It wouldn't matter if I bought the latest LCR with the best motor I doubt I'd do the times you guys used so a hub centre gsxr1000 shorty wouldn't do shit for me
