The Princess and the Allegro were both saloons.

The replacement for the Princess, the Ambassador, was a hatchback.

The Force 7 ( P76 Coupe ) was also a hatchback and scheduled for release as a '75 model in Australia. Unfortunately ... it didn't quite make it.

Damn. Shades of Mitsubishi 380 , right car at the wrong time

I also had a P76 de Luxe. Unfortunately it had the auto on the tree and two headlights. Next model up was the Executive which had the floor shift and dual headlights.

Had a workmate that had a Diplomatic model P76 with all the fruit... electric windows, A/C, and a stonkin' 5 litre donk! That thing could tramp!
I had to google just to check.............
There is a chance we had the conversions sold here or they never called the later ones an Ambassador, it looks like we here lucky souls in NZ were the only ones to get them as an Austin
A mates father used to have a Kimberly that was even uglier

It looks like there was a crowd that used to convert them though?

I believe the Force 7's that were waiting for delivery were put through the crusher; only seven survived. Great collector's item.

Can't blame the Riva for being ugly really, since they were just copying the Fiat 125.

When I was growing up my folks had Fiats. A 125 to start then Mum got a Panda. If there are any on earth that haven't dissolved into a pool of rust, they won't have aged well.

I used to take the absolute piss out of Fiat Pandas, until some crazy Greek mofo asked me if I liked WRC and when I answered yes floored the fark out of his TD one going up some narrow mountain road on Samos. New found respect was had.

LOL. I nearly bought a Fiat Panda turbo back in the day. Not sure if I would still be here if I had, the brakes would only work twice before over heating..

Ford Oz made the mistake of following Ford Europe's styling cues of the time and adopted the "New Edge" shape for the AU - basically the panels lights etc had big sweeping curves intersecting at sharp corners. The Mondeo, Focus etc had the same treatment, but the worst of the New Edge bunch was the Ford Ka...

Disproportionate curves. That thing is styled like woman with an ass that could double as a park bench below while sporting A cup tits up top.
