Worth 8k going good, but 2k with a gearbox issue??
Just one random example of what 8k can get you, & the BMW probably isint even cheap at that. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used...1073606266.htm
The beemer looks nice for that money.

The land crab guy has no hope. $2k with a duff gearbox, more like $200. He's a bad temptered bugger too. Let's hope his blood pressure holds out

Yes, & sadly he won't answer my last question. I think he may have mistaken me for being maxed out in the piss taking stakes the first time.
Maybe it is worth 8k in Invercargill. I wouldn't even accept it as a gift.

Rakaia/Dorie area is the home of lanz in NZ The 1st one in the country is still owned by the original owners family & still runs; at one stage there were at least 30 in the district.
Had the pleasure of driving one a few yrs back, good fun...heating them up then spinning the engine over with the steering wheel.
    Funny when they run backwards

Have a look at their other listings - I think the Lambretta for nearly 7 grand is possibly a bigger crime....

I recently learned that the Maxi was the only vehicle that BL allowed to have the hatchback.
While it would have made the Allegro slightly less of an abomination, they wouldn't allow it as they believed it would steal sales from the Maxi.
It seems obvious why they went bust now, I wonder if it was that obvious back then. Clearly run by a bunch of ass hats.

A strongly object to this post. Referring to BL as being run by a bunch of 'ass hats' is extremely condescending to 'bona fide ass hatts'.

BL was run by a group of 'Non communicative & inept morons, with inadequate buisness skills' - BUT thier demise wasn't their own fault. The JAPS did it to them
