I've yet to meet an actual Trump supporter face to face. And yes, I do get out a bit...the rabid ones on here don't seem common in the real world.

On the other hand, south of the Bombays, mention Aucklanders....

All we can do is wait and see what the US does. I see one of the executive orders signed today was to the effect that any organisation receiving US aid can not support abortion as funding will be removed. Pense is having an effect already. There'll be trouble if he tries to get that applied within the US.

Disagree - People could talk about different Flag designs or possibilities without frothing at the mouth and throwing an adult version of a Toddler Temper Tantrum.

When the vote was cast and the results made - were there rioters in the Street committing numerous acts of Vandalism?

Did every self-appointed Celebrity who knows they are right go on a march to tell half of the country how much of a bigot/flagist they were?

It's the same ball game for sure - but it's the difference between a Rugbytots game and the ABs vs Australia.

Not so much a Trump thing as a Republican thing? The USA and Europe over the years have been having an on again, off again, argument about trade. Now that the Republicans are in power it would seem it's on again. They want access to Europe for American beef. The Europeans don't want beef from the USA because it doesn't meet EU health standards. Apparently the Yanks dose their cattle on hormones among other things, and the Europeans don't want their beef "chemically enhanced".

To apply pressure the USA threatens to apply import duties to European products. Like f'rinstance a 100% duty on motorcycles. It's a bit more complicated than that but that's the general gist. The information I saw wasn't complete but it seems to affect mainly small to mid sized bikes?

The motorcycle press should provide details in due course.

When you meet them in the flesh they are usually not at all rabid… Initially they seem rather rational... Once you hang around for a bit you notice a few weird things that make you go hmmmm… Before long your mouth is hanging open in wonderment....

We have met a few, usually staunch republicans, racist as fuck (although they hide it brilliantly with impeccable manners) and (apparently) very conservative Christians, anti evolution anti abortion and uptight as all get out... etc etc … Holy crap – one couple we had at home were down right scary and 100% convinced they were right and they alone had the answers… Fark – that was a LONG dinner party I can tell you… Vicki giving me constant eye contact and muttering shut up shut up shut up to me every 5 seconds…. I was gracious to a fault – in fact I think they still pray for me.. (shudder)

Then theres the other sort... Ex military hill billies we took on as contractors... Far out - useless - they just up and left us in the lurch 'cos it was 'hard'....

Well you certainly don't have anything like the wherewithal to influence anything I might do.

It's fuckwits like you who are convinced that everyone else must be "controlled" because they don't agree with you.

Whereas the real reason is simply that you're invariably wrong.
