I'd have one any day over any modern Ducati if nothing else just to look at.
Back in the 80's when I lived in Sydney they were just another bike really, used to see lots of them at rallies, amazing the laws of supply and demand, a set of rose tinted glasses and cashed up Baby Boomers.
Yeah I'd have that any day of the week over the F1

I've got a photo taken at a rally in the early 80s of a green frame 750ss all roughed up looking like it'd been to hell & back...imagine trying to find one of them these days for sale let alone being ridden around like a daily hack bike

DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

OK, he bought some pipes and put them on it but........

I think he had it listed at around $4500.00, but maybe wants to keep his free relists until summer? Have raced 250's a fair bit, I'd still love a good one to this day. Have to be a green one though. Pity they all shat themselves.

Yeah that sort of price sounds better considering the kms it has but can understand the methodology of the pricing
I'd rather have what you raced too....shame the majority of them did get raced though...knew where there was one a few years back with a handgrenaded motor but the guy moved so god knows where the bike is now

Eh?? Full ad on Trademe but he's not selling it until summer... OK, maybe I'm missing something here, maybe he's trying to build critical mass and get a full blown bidding war going several months down the track when he finally does go live... but still WTF?

That's a fair example, I think he's not actually after that money.

A bit late to the party we've already resolved what's going on with the extravagant price

As would I. The point is that the tinware is damaged, and it is not within 15% of reserve at $4k. Implication is that the reserve is north of $4500. Which is 750 money.
