Click on all the photos - a big arse nice and light workshop I want.

The set-up looks great - tasty conversion. Backyard looks shit though, Mrs B would have me landscaping pronto.

So anyway, getting back on topic, can anyone tell me the point of automatic windscreen wipers on a car? For fucks sake. If I can't see through the window due to moisture I will flick the switch and move the wiper. Job done.

Someone needs to tell Kim Dong and the other one down south to sort this shit out. Fucking Kia Sportage I drove today didn't even have an intermittent option, It was either off, fucking robot mental controlled or on constantly. Robot option is fucked - I can see out of the fucking windscreen, I don't need some fucking arsehole sensor to decide to stick the wipers on at 1800 bpm at some random moment.

Sorry, but I cannot see the actual point. Had a ride in Range Rover the other night. Blinded every twat coming towards us while the sensor decided whether or not to switch high beam on or off.

Thank fuck my bike does not have all this shit yet.

OK, back to the love fest.....................

I had an Audi Q7 slam it's own brakes on a while ago, backing out of a driveway. Thought it saw something, apparently.

PS: I love Dannevirke, smack in the middle of a great riding area, big enough to have most amenities (like an actual choice of pubs) and only an hour away from half of the north island. The fire station is great, dead centre of town, lots of potential for artistic licence.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

That's why I drive an '84 Subaru Brumby - the only 'automatic' knick-nack is the lights turn off when you turn the motor off - but it also has an intermittent setting for wipers!.

And even my '61 Bambina had that. (Not so crash hot an idea when you bump the ignition key to 'off' on a dark desert highway...)

Modern cars leave me cold, no class, no charm and boring as hell.

...couldn't agree more, but sometimes out on the highway rumbling along at 95 kph in the 60 Series and just wanting to get home or crashing through the fucked up roads full of potholes and mountains growing worse every day, (Chch), I weaken a bit and wish for better suspension and a bit of power...or a different job...bit late for the last bit though...

I'm quite sure you wouldn't say that if you drove my wife's R58 JCW Mini Cooper coupe (the two seat one) with six speed manual & 17psi of boost. it's fuckin mental & oozes charm & charisma inside & out.

The auto wiper thing came up last night when we went out in Mrs B's Golf. She like it. I commented about all the electronic gizmos and warning lights etc yet the Germans had forgotten a simple $1 LED light to illuminate the ignition key hole in the dark!

You're not driving the right cars.

C63 AMG is sensational in every respect.

I picked up a new to me car yesterday, drove home in the rain. Much to my amazement the wipers adjusted their speed to match the rain and the rear wiper would come on now and again by itself. I was amazed, love it.

It's the most modern car I've owned, 2015, and I have to say it's very engaging and fun. The boot light is a removable torch, doesn't take much to impress me.

A mate had the ex PDL 1293 Cooper S. It shook, rode like a plank - and the class oozed out and formed dark puddles under it.....

He should have pushed it into a shed and left it. Idiot sold it when he didn't need to. As a road car it was genuinely mental.

Yeah, these "retro cars" recreate memories, not reality.
I'm talking about one of these.
Reliability & safety, and only slightly mechanically aggravating.
