Trump keeps saying the election is rigged. He knows it; he's trying everything. During his trip to the Carolinas he repeatedly told his audiences to vote twice. Vote by mail, then go and vote in person.

If the system they have is working as it should, they will get turned away at the ballot box or online depending on which vote type they use first. In the event they manage to cast two votes, if one of them differs from the other, then both will be invalid, otherwise it will still only count as one vote. In theory.

So why does he feel the need to lie and bullshit for photo ops? In this case with a guy that had not owned the shop for 8 years, and the actualk owner declining to support Trump?

TV1 showed that item stating the guy was the owner. That annoyed me. Again.

When TV1 show these 'imported' clips there is often detail or nuance missing. Having often viewed the item several times that day it's obvious to me what they are getting wrong; they really should be doing better. Much better.

I suspect he might be trying to overwhelm the mail-in system and the double-count system.

He's on record saying mail in voting is bad for the GOP. He's been making baseless accusations against it, had a toadie in the USPS try to mess witht he postal system in general, now he's following up with this.

He says mail in voting is bad, although he and most of his cronies do it themselves. He distinguishes between absentee voting, which in his opinion is OK, and postal voting. There is basically no difference.

He appointed a big donor, Louis DeJoy, Postmaster General, and DeJoy has set about wrecking the place. It was a seriously large donation, because Trump also made the DeJoy's wife Ambassador to Canada.

It's worse than that though, the postal service is overseen by a board of governors and the chairman is a mate of Moscow Mitch O'Connell. Trump has the postal bases covered.

Trump will destroy the election if he can.

Except for one teensy tiny detail

Absentee and Postal votes have to be requested before the Election and the request goes through a verification process.

Mail-in voting is where an official ballot is sent to a registered voter (who may have moved, may be dead etc.) with no additional verification taking place.

    Stop trying to mislead people.

Some states the send the ballots out to registered voters but others send out application forms - exactly the same as for absentee voting.

Sending the ballots out to registered voters is how it works in this country for local body elections and I can't recall any problems.

This isn't on YouTube yet so I'll have to use this link. You'll have to scroll down to find the Lincoln Project video clip.

It's long been apparent that nobody had to create stuff about Trump. His own words do the job just fine.
