Just pulling your chain. Google tends to be very helpful like that - it sorts all the "relevant" search results out for you, so that the first two pages are always western media sources and you don't have to look any further (or by that stage, you've lost interest).

If you read it in the British press first, it's even worse than I thought - it's second-hand fake news.

Looking on the other side of the fence, it has been interesting to note the number of Russian news websites (other than RT, Sputnik, Moscow Times) that has either been (i) physically denied access at some point in the Internet navigation hierarchy or (ii) have been the subject of DDOS attacks.

I dunno, sensitive governments and the lengths they'll go to to protect their people believing only their bullshit. It's beautiful that they care so much.

I can't see that item but Russia is widely reported to be introducing a new law banning any criticism of the governments policies with regard to Ukraine. Breaches earn fifteen years and/or a huge fine by Russian standards. This is causing nervousness among foreign journos.

I see that the US has decided to speed up their diplomatic effort over Ukraine by the introduction of further fighter jets:

But strangely, there doesn't seem to be any current (European) takers willing to front-foot the delivery effort. Nor to explore a seemingly undeclared no-fly-zone existing over Ukraine.

Minor news site so I kept schtum.

Not a bad deal, give all the Russian jets in Poland to Ukraine and get nice shiny US ones as replacements.

A lot of countries are turning out to be “Indian givers” in this regard and realise Russia will treat them likectoasty marshmallows....
Plus there are a number of technical issues, they are Nato aircraft, will have to be flown into Ukraine bases by NATO pilots and various systems on board may be different.
It will also leave the countries vulnerable when proper war breaks out

Poland are apparently to deliver the jets to the US base at Ramstein, Germany. Then the logistical problems begin, once those are sorted, Ukranian pilots could ferry the aircraft to Ukraine.

Aaaaand somewhat closer to home. It's reported that numbers of the Parliament protestors have been admitted to Wellington hospital suffering with COVID. They are behaving like dicks, of course, abusing the staff and demanding that the cause of their admission be entered as 'police brutality'. Anyone who pulls that shit should be immediately transferred to the psychiatric ward. Fuckem!

Just following up on your comment : Did they say where in Ukraine they planned to deliver them to ?

It's just that, from a quick browse of a high level "military situation" map published on South Front, there seems to be only one air field - in the far west of Ukraine - that hasn't already received some "attention".

Thanks for the attachment.

But I didn't seriously expect a reply to the questions posed. Which were more to highlight some of the politically stupid "shadow boxing" that is going on (courtesy of the US), in lieu of any serious diplomacy and negotiation (as requested by the Russiansboth prior to and following the start of this conflict) .

Meanwhile, while the conflict trundles on, many of the European participants in this kabuki theatre will continue to apply sanctions - and to happily trash their own economies (as an economic consequence of their very own actions). Quite sad, and so avoidable.
