Yeah, we can see time and time again how hard it is to take a bike and try to change it's appearance and get it right. It is a lot harder than you think…IMO.

And for some people, harder still. Its probably not stapled just duct taped underneath the seat.

Who invited the lawyer? How many of these Charletons do you represent? How do you sleep at night?

And will you represent me when I'm next accused of shoddy work (more often than you'd think considering I'm an air traffic controller, but the maths is a cruel mistress).

Guess I shouldn't be on KB during a shift but the computers have it pretty much under control.

You can tell he wasn't a farmer, they only use urea or calf meal sacks.

I could live with most mods other then the seat and the carb filters.
One of the naffest things about the CBX750 was the Faux bellmouths/side covers.

if you changed the seat and tank and got rid of the fairing to something like a ELR or a CBR400F nc17 it would look pretty cool

It's still hard to hide that tank. Why bother on such a vanilla bike?

We've had them in ChCh too. You could name as many as me.

That Honda labelled an F3 is actually quite attractive. What sizes did it come in Husa ?

Oh c'mon. You regularly post your opinions, have a look at you social disobedience rants.

And clearly. If it wasn't obvious. My post was pure satire in response to HDC's. I was going to choose Lay Cosmetic Surgeon or Embalmer, but those weren't quite as funny as ATC which affects most everyone.

I had a follow up if anyone took me seriously to remove all doubt, but its lost its steam now.

It was the 400 it came in a few flavours, its claim to fame was it was a Vtec before there was Vtech it was called REV...?
its the CBR400F. if you gogle NC17 i assume that one slightly later with its VFR like seat. there are at least 4 versions i can see different fairing and frames.
There were some neat 400 around, there was a cool Suzuki with a sculptured seat that was just pre the Impulse.
I have only seen it in magazines.

Yep, it was called rev tech. As far as I remember it was tthe CBR400F and RR that both had it. I rode one and it went from 2 valves to 4 at a set rev limit (8000rpm?)and was electro hydraulicly locking in a second set of rockers to actuate the extra valves. Crude but it worked. Not that it was a world beater. My flatmate bypassed his to make it permanently 4 valve and discovered it was set like that for a reason

Well Husa, the last pic has seat foam to be proud of, and some smart tank duct tape. But racebikes need to work as first priority. If they are pretty, you've given up on development . But why on an 80s bike are the calipers at the front?.

Gary Jamieson - who organised the first 10 or so Burts - had one of those Moriwaki's. Pretty sure his had the calipers at the back of the forks. I think it could be assembled either way. Lovely bike. Phyllis rode it here several times. Think it's been sold overseas now. He did some research when it arrived and apparently only 6 or 7 were built. As a 750 with Phyllis riding it easily won pre 89 every time I saw it run.

I did a long reply and KB swallowed it into the mists
that lower darker pic is a version i had never seen before the colour is not what i associate with Moriwakis. its quite a lot darker. but i have seen other pics that colour now i look.
the caliper might be like that for post classic rules as all the other i have seen were Nissan 2 pots or 2 pots.
or maybe the rider just preferred the lockheeds Kevin used to have AP's.
pretty sure Lawson used to run only one sort of caliper or not running one sort after he had some pads fall out.

The story of the CBX750 race bike is well worth a read i am not sure if i posted it before or if i can be assed looking, but Honda used to give a lot of back door support to them until it got to fast.
its hard to tell from the pics but the shocks are twin shocks that mount through the swingarm for more travel. they ran a similar set up on a NS250 as well.

That seat foam Dave i never understood the need for it as the leathers always had padded asses.

note the waki and suzui calipers in front in the 4 8 hour pics
i see croz's era old Kawasaki used to run the same set up.
