To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
This is why I tend to cover the brake and clutch levers. The time saved by not having to uncurl the fingers is extremely valuable. I challenge anyone to shift their foot from the accelerator to the brake in a cage faster than fingers on a covered brake lever.
Had it once in a cage that my left leg went to sleep and I didn't know. Went to change gear coming into Huntly and couldn't move the leg for a good 5 seconds. I was lucky it wasn't an emergency stop.

Shows why I die often in BF.
Please note: imdying does not endorse trying that trick on the road or track to decrease your reaction times. Failure to heed said warning may result in injury or loss of life![]()
Well, I'm quite pleased.
First go .42.
Down to .26, getting faster each time.
Av .34.
I feel like I'm very slow to react on the bike, mainly because the riders I ride with are very canny and experienced so big standards to live up to. But having said that, I've had a couple of near misses but no major dramas in the nightmare traffic that is Brisbane. (Now officially the most congested city in Aus, beating even Melb and Syd. Hooray, we win, we win!!)
Illuc ivi, illud feci.
Buggrim, Buggrit.
1st go:
Average = 0.20 seconds - 6.22 metres
Unfortunately... I clicked the mouse so fast, that it skidded accross the table, causing me to "High-Side" into the telephone.

weridly accuriate...
cool
didnt even need to keep the brakes on and release them when the goat walked out.
Average for me was 0.2842
Funny how it gets better the more focused you are. Funny in a DUH kind of way.
Rubbish.
On the bike I have to squeeze my fingers but mm's.
In the car I have to accelerate my heavy leg away from the throttle, move it across and decelerate it and then accelerate it forwards on to the brake pedal, before I start to even start applying the brakes.
It reality though its not all about how fast you react to a situation its also about knowing whats going to happen before you need to react.
That shadow under the car, that Dorklander casually looking half left before not indicating a lane change, the slight rainbow sheen , the disappearing radius...... this is how the oldies can cope with longer reaction times as experience means your less often in a position to require it.
Something to pass the time with:
