    Good fun.
My bike aint no motard, but I love that one too.

There are plenty of twisty roads about that are great fun al legal speedsand far below, Blue mountains is one.
It is probably far more dangerous going 50kph on a road like that or Moonshine than 200kph on a straight Wairarapa road with lots of visibility tho.

Oh no thats right! Speed kills and over 100kph is insanley dangerous and going faster in any conditions is suicadal and irresponsible!

Tracks are the place to approach the limits of ones bike, but I am a fan of my version of "drive to the conditions..." If it aint dangerous....

Just got my road bike back on the road after an extended period parked up. Took it for a wee blat over the Rimutaka hill on saturday morning to scrub in new tyres and came home extremely frustrated by how much I had to hold back for fear of licence loss. The rain didn't help but I had forgotten what road riding was like.
The track is just so much more fun, and I don't imagine that a radar detector would help me relax on the road either.
The feds have been targetting the Rapa in various ways for a while but it sounds like it is getting more seriouser. Thanks for the heads up.

I guess it was only a mater of time before this sort of thing happened. I guess the 'Rapa farmers probably view sportsbikers like I view the boi racers that tear around some of the streets here. Wherever you are, its always somebodies back yard.
Experience......something you get just after you needed it

It was fun on Saturday, I really really trust the tyres on this thing on a clean wet road now. Phenomenal. Sunday it was dryer and the cyclists were there. On my first lap, they were scowling at me, on the second they looked confused, on the third they were smiling, on the forth one even was laughing. They must of thought I was nuts.

Say Merv, do you know anyone in the shoe business? I'm gonna nead some new ones sometime real soon.

Keep ya feet up mate. See how fast you can go then. Like the sprot bikers and the knee down thing, you don't have to you know and still its the challenge that matters.

Nice wee bit of road, not too many neighbours for most of it. I often often visit a friend just over the other side, I always tell myself to take it easy because you can trash a set of knobbies real quick on something like that... and then I do it hard anyway

Have still had the odd idiot cutting RH corners up there though, take it easy.

I see in the Dom Post this morning (it doesn't seem to be on Stuff) two 'rapa bikers attracted the attention of the cops with their wheelie antics - one came to grief doing a runner, the other didn't but both got caught.

Too many attracting attention these days eh!

Now there's an idea...how about we deliberately organise the biggest Rapa bikefest possible one mild weekend...totally overwhelming the cops by descending on Martinborough and the back roads for an "en mass" fang. But riding strictly within the law of course! Like we always do eh? :-)

Nah I'd say jack up a complete boi racer or bike gang event that would overwhelm the cops requiring reinforcements from all over the region in somewhere like say Foxton where we never go because its flat and boring. So suck the 'rapa dry of cops.

I don't know why I'm saying this really I'd never go over 100km/hr coz its against the law and I even use my GPS to make sure I don't.
    Cheers
