Last time I checked, I was made of meat.

I guess veggies need not apply.

most vegetarians dont have to supplement... but most vegans do have to supplement.. and then again, its all about knowing where to find the different nutrients in different sources... i for one, have never supplemented, and doubt i will ever have to supplement, because i know my facts. People who rush headlong into vegetarianism/veganism are sometimes so blinded by ethics, that they forget that they need certain things, hence they lack on health... it's all about being well informed before you commit to the lifestyle.

but this is slightly off topic... people who think other people are made of dead animals coz they eat meat? hold on, im just going to call the nice, young men in their clean, white coats...

Do they breastfeed their spawn? Doesn't that milk come from an 'animal'?

Not so old chap - you are stuck in a very western way of thinking. In Asia there has been continous generations of vegetarian Hindus and Bhuddists that go back over 3000 years.

Hahahaha, what rot. I used to have a vegetarian girlfriend, and I think vegetarians are all right (read Weird), but vegans a bit extreme. There must be somthing lacking in their diet as you'll never see a fat vegan=). Me, I'll be sticking to my steaks and roasts.

There's no fun in shooting a vege - and they don't taste as good as avenison steak either.

    Spot on.

My partner is a vegetarian, but she has no problem with me eating meat, or even cooking it for me.

But her friend is a crazy Vegan! *hides*

yes Indy, I'm a vege... and i don't mind sleeping with you because meat eaters aren't evil... they just need to find better ways to produce the meat... they wonder why people are getting food poisoning and BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) ie, mad-cow disease. But its been proven that intensive beef, pork and chicken farming increases the chances of diseased meat... go figure...

read: The Meat Business, Devouring a hungry planet edited by Geoff Tansey and Joyce D'Silva (I'm reading it now, it has some excellent points on farming... not only meat though, the title is a bit misleading)

it has been.. imagine all that feaces they are living in and eating in those tiny cages, pretty much on top of one another (chicken and pigs) and cows? well they have the bargain deal compared to the others, but leptospirosis and mastitis are HUGE factors... lepto is horrible and can be transferred directly to humans and mastitis.. well.. would YOU want to have an infected mammary gland from always being so full of milk because people make you have calf after calf? no thanks... however, i'm more against the whole veal thing than I am the actual milk production...
