    First Ride in October

    The official word is:
    * Daylight Saving will commence on Sunday 30 September 2007, and end on 6 April 2008.

That means TCWNR will be 3 October 2007.

7 more Wednesdays to go and then on the 8th Wednesday life begins again.
    Here for the ride.

Awesome. We should probably start a new annual thread about then...

Let me know when a new thread is needed and I'll make sure it's linked both ways.

What was wrong in the end - reg/rec or something like that or just old battery?
    Cheers

You should be getting your fix on The Cruisy Sunday Morning ride until then. 23 bikes last sunday.

I wondered about that Hitch as it's coming up to the time when we close TCSMR for the summer. I wondered if we should just re-name them so that they remain as an active archive. They make good reading and become very informative for newbies to the site. Fer example ...

    Wellington - TCWNR: Wednesday Evenings
    Wellington - TCSMR: Sunday Mornings

I was thinking of suggesting "(Daylight Saving)" and "(Dark Months)" in the titles but in practice, it looks as if we often cross those arbitary start/finishes.

It's certain that people will go for long rides on Sundays and shorter ones on Wednesdays so having long-running threads for each maintains their rich history and character.

While this is true, I think one thread per season is enough, otherwise it gets too much to wade thru
Experience......something you get just after you needed it

Ahhh ... good point. I hadn't thought of that because I have my options set to the most recent post first. That way, when I open a thread, the first thing i see is the last post.

I have missed the Sunday rides as the time doesn't fit in with other obligations. I do need the Hump Day fix to break the week; 5-6 days without a ride is too long.
    Here for the ride.

Being a Sunday morning, for various reasons, perhaps 10am is too early.

Next winter, 10.30 for a 10.45 departure may be a better time. Personally that would be my choice 10.30am

    Heads Up and Enjoy

We ran a poll which selected the time, next year I am sure something will be done to take that into account.

    Cheers, Nasty
