Sounds like Dan's done this alarm and others before and I know my was around vehicle electrics too. Getting it all plugged in and going shouldn't be hard, getting it to look real nice and running all the wiring well etc takes a bit more planning, it can help to have a few people around, take off your fairings/tank etc and stare at the parts that need to go on and your bike for a while. I was thinking if we have an alarm night we could take instructional pics to post so others can get a handle on this kind of thing on a few different types of bikes.
I'm selling my new riding gear!! Only worn a few times get a deal Kiwibikers!!

That'd be cool for us that live a wee bit far away to make it up for the alarm night :P

it might be worth not bulk ordering so you can escape the customs duty? Aint the limit around $300?

Not sure I dont import much but last time I imported some parts I did likewise for a mate (save postage) only to find it may have been cheaper to order seperately!

Ok, im looking for a F*CKING loud alarm system.....

Kneescrapers thread looks interesting... also found these:

    Talon

    Krypton

Armed Guard - this one has the advantage of plugging straight into the loom.

Can any of these be plugged into a stebel???

I would just love a bike alarm similar to the one I saw on Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights TV Comedy. It repeatedly plays the voice of the Bouncer saying "Get back you bastards or I'll break your legs."
