If the weather improves, I would be interested to do a Saturday afternoon ride with an cheap overnight stay somewhere (Catlins??), then mosey on in to Waihola on Sunday??

Well you sign in for a fee and collect your 1st playing card. Then visit a few Hostelrys collecting the rest of your hand. Food is supplied on the route at selected stops and at the final stop back at The Southern Hotel, the winners will already know that they have one hell of a hand that might win the big prize.
The party goes on into the night. Last year I didnt get home till 4am. Thats BAD

As if I would........
Anyway I thought I'd just bring our Dn thread back to the front page again - those poker runs do sound like fun but they also sound like theres a lot more time spent socializing at pubs than riding???? There is another one coming up I saw advertised (in the BRONZ mag?) that starts in Beaumont and ends up at Frankton so that one has a bit more riding involved - anyone doing it or done it?
