Alternately, wait until he has finished moving it, while taking photo's, then slap the crap out of him, and make him put it back.
Take more photo's of his car and tell him it will be circulated to a lot of large angry bikers who would take exception to this kind of behaviour.

I just had the misfortune to visit the aforementioned site again. Woonchaknowit - I spot a handy park near the door, and there's a scooter in it.
Right smack in the middle of the park.

I was SOOOOOO tempted to move it a bit, and prolly would've, were it not for the previous comments. (In fact, were it not for the comments about aggressive towies, I would've done my usual thing and parked on the footpath, or ina "No Farking Parking" area.)
It was actually quite a mission to share the park with this non-sharing, antisocial piece of ChineseCrap without having my bike in such a position as to be potentially blocking its egress or risk damage to my own fine(ly scratched and muntered) machine.

Hmmmm.... what I shouldadone was ligt the scooter around so it was hard against the front of the park, then (no doubt) someone else woulda come along and parked behind it.
A fitting outcome for all.

As a newbie to all this - where should you park in a normal carpark (i.e. not motobike zones?

Im guessing if you dont put the bike right in the middle some twat in a car will pull in going too fast not seeing your bike and run into it knocking it over.

What do you guys do?

Whilst hes moving the bike. Open his car door and grab his keys. Smile nicely as you drop them down the nearest drainpipe.

Seems fair - he moved the bike a few feet (across), you moved his keys a few feet (down)

Not sure what you can be charged with (Ive done it twice when I was younger) - but it sure does wind them up.

We checked out Albania Wetfield on Sunday - what a fucking crappy joke the parking is! One skinny driveway in/out, the lanes in the parking lot are all too narrow, the few 'covered' walkways are useless because the covers are too high and angled to assist the rain to blow in...
They had to have some guys directing parking because it's so difficult. Whoever designed the layout is a retard. It would've been better (and more efficient use of land) to have had a multi-tiered parking building under the mall (or adjacent to it). The mall has got some flak for being too much oriented to cars rather than being pedestrian-friendly, but IMHO it's not friendly fullstop.

have to agree took the family out there last weekend the dam lane are way to narrow and parking spaces are not deep enough i know the ss-v ve is a large car but hell i had to drive with the wheels over the cinter line and had to keep stopin to let cars through cause there wasnt enough room to fit 2 cars past at same time what a cock up with all that space.
and hell no you dont touch some elses bike the mall should have it own security you could have call to deal with it who would have in turn called the cops would have got him bared from comin back to the mall for a while as well.

Awesome plan!!!! - Im going to park my bike on the footpath -then call security and tell them I caught my wife moving it. Then she can be barred from the mall and I can afford a better bike!

You're correct - park the bike so it's right in the middle, and back far enough that it can be seen. But a scooter is somewhat different (in my head, at least). Most of them are only glorified bicycles, so it's a waste to take a whole space.

Every other bike in the place parking north-south, so Mr bimbles up and parks east-west.
I am considering a funding request for acadedmic research on this phenomenon!

Same/same as all the other things most scootersits do. Some scooterists are almost honorary bikers, and are really in to the whole two-wheels brotherhood mumbo. However (BUT!) for some/most a scooter is merely a convenient and cheap means of transport, and they treat it like a glorified bicycle. They don't notice other scooterists/bikers on the road, and therefore no special consideration is given WRT parking or anything else.

What do you guys do?

I park my bike at the back of a park and to the left or right side of the park.

That way the bike can be seen by cars driving in and around the car park, and if another bike comes along they can have the front of the park on the side that Im not in.

Only problem for them is if I leave and their bike is still there.

I would consider moving their bike but I wouldnt due to the fact that if I saw anyone moving my bike for what ever reason they certainly would get an ear full and a whole heap of fucken touch my bike again I'll kill you (even if its a good reason I wouldnt be to happy about someone moving my bike).

Yeah I think common sense and forethought are not prerequitisites for some town planners and developers... its all about profit.

Once the full Albany city is developed, they will need at least two multi-level carparks to handle all the office workers cars, let alone the shoppers who can't find a park.

The current solution is to just clamp everyone or tow them away.
