I love the look of this bike?
Why are they so cheap,a heap of shite?
Suitable step up from my 250?

Naked bikes aren't that popular in New Zealand for some reason. Go figure. And it's reasonably well priced. Check out used Honda CB900 Hornets for a comparison.
And it would be a great "step" bike from a 250.

the gsx is a tried and true formula that has been working for suzuki for many many years. Looks like a pretty tidy bike for a naked bike (not a fan of nakeds myself)
25000km so it still got plenty of life left in it.
I wouldnt have said it be cheap. Fair would be the wording I would put on it. Probably just looks cheap cause of the insane prices people put on second hand bikes.
But as always... buyer beware.

Is it a pommy import? looks like one of their rego holders on the raidiator.
If it is it's likely to have a corrosion problem with all the salt on the roads.

They were probably rusty. 25,000km is fuck all distance. I do more than that in a year, let alone considering that this bike is 10 years old. More than likely it's been parked up somewhere for a while.

oil cooled, carbs, twin rear shocks.........its low tech......means it cheaper to make, has less to go wrong and is easier to fix.
won't match the pace of an R6, but not a bad bike at all.
Not shite at all - in fact a great all-rounder.
The GSX750 was made from 98 to 03/04. They were sold new in NZ in 2001 (called the GSX750Y), so parts, etc are available from Suzuki dealers.
They were called GSX750 "Retro" in the UK and "Inazuma" in continental Europe.
Not popular in NZ because the UJM/retro look is seen as old-fashioed by many and also because there is a 1200 version of the same bike, so many/most buyers went for that.
I have a 1200 and a mate with a 750. The (stock) 1200 is a lot gruntier in the low to mid-range but is not much faster in the top-end (1200 is restricted in stock trim). The geometry and running gear are almost identical but the 750 feels a lot smaller/lighter/nimbler than the 1200 to ride. In fact, the 750 is probably the better choice if most of your riding is commuting/tootling around town.
Suzuki has a number of other choices in the middle-weight standard class, such as the Bandit 600 and the GSX600F and GSX750F (F for faired models). I have ridden them all and the GSX750Y is easily the best of the bunch IMO. It is the lightest (even a few KG lighter than the Bandit 600), most comfortable, has the best everyday motor (strongest low to midrange), and best overall running gear package (brakes, suspension, wheels, etc).
Yep, good bikes - but white?
Ok cheers guys, looks like it ticks all the boxes for me.
Basically I use my bike to do a bit of everything.
Ride to work, weekend fanging and I would like to be able do a bit of touring as well.
Not ugly to me buddy I think its sexy, show me another decent middleweight naked bike for that money?
Looks as thoughit has come over from the UK, but having done less than 1700 miles a year (3000km's) the likely hood that the bike left the garage in the UK between October and May is probably zero. New discs were probably fitted to get it certified for NZ use, had to do the same on my Tiger when i bought it over, would have WOF'd ok but were below limites for certification so had to be changed.
how many do you need? Some are as butt ugly as that Suzuki though and you might have to take the fairing off others to make them as ugly.
