As I was heading up Mt. Pleasant about 30-45 mins ago there were some rather gloomy clouds rolling over the top of the hills. We've had a slight and insignificant drizzle up here but it seems the cloud formation has dissipated after moving out over the city.
I'm still waiting for the rain radar to update. If it hits the peninsula instead of Chch city we might wanna consider something else than Diamond Harbour...

    Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well... my bike still isn't fixed, and I'm starting to get cranky about it. I don't want to borrow Liv's Bandit again, so it looks like I'll be sitting this one out. I thought there was a possibility of getting my bike back today, but surprise surprise, it isn't ready. *Sigh*

You're a silly bugger. Offer still stands, but it's your choice.

Does this mean I have to organise this rabble of bikers?!

just home ,via halswell pub , Not the best of weather for a ride , but a good yarn and a beer . Think on dodgy days a quick blast and a central socialising point ( ie pub etc) is the go, At least it was dry until we left the pub , aghhhh wet seat

Good to meet some more of you fellas. 9 people showed up at BK and we headed out towards Evans pass via Sumner at about 6:35. From Evans pass we went to the pub (can't remember the bloody name now) where the road over Gebbies meets the road to Diamond harbour. Here we had a look at the weather and decided - nah, it's turning to shit. cruza and uNople went over Gebbies towards Halswell while the rest of us doubled back to Lyttleton, through the tunnel to Ferrymead where we had a couple of beers at the watershed. All in all a good night out - although the weather could've been better. Still, we managed to stay dry.

    See you guys wednesday

    Cheers

Bloody good fun I must say.

My rear suspension was set way to hard though and some of those ripples in the road around corners were murder. Set the rear sliding cos of that a few times. All good fun though.

Spent most of my time behind Machiavelli on the way towards The WheatSheaf. I did enjoy just plodding along and oogling at the scenery and followed Transalper most of the way back into town at a reasonable clip.

A very plesant night. Could have been a bit warmer but thats motorcycling for you.

    See you guys next week.

that wind cut through me on the way to the wheatshef (sp) was freezing when we got there.

warmed up at the watershed, and was suprisingly warm on the way home through very light drizzle.

all up fantastic ride, bring on next week!
