Sounds like a good ride, I'd be up for that (as long as my bike's working then, of course)

    Yep, nice evening guys.
A few more times and I might even start recognising some of you in a crowd.
I'll wait and see before comitting again, but if I can, I proberbly will go so long as there's a few corners involved again... Any part or all of the Summit Rd, Gebbies, the Bays, Akaroa(ish), they all work for me.

Yeah, I'm a silly bugger... but I'd feel bad constantly using the Bandit. I can't take it for granted that I can use it. I'd feel even worse if I were to damage it. Sure, I'd be able to fix it... but that money is already spoken for, having to fork out to fix the Bandit would mess up the game plan.
By the sounds of it you didn't have to organise anything like as many as showed up to the first one, what're you complaining about?! Not like we agreed I'd speak up at that first meet!

Chin up, my bike been off the road for over half the time I've owned it, and I brought it brand new But I've got it under control, hell I might even make it to a ride one day... if you can't get it fixed in time, buy a second one I say!

9800 apparently genuine kms, and being able to talk to every owner it has had was very hard to resist Would not surprise me if there wasn't a lower km VJ22 around, we will see when I get it home and get the maintenance covers off I guess, but the owner seems like a pretty straight up guy, and the previous owner just happened to run across me on the RGV site and gave me the complete history of it

Speaking of powervalves, did your one get inspected yet?

Yeah it was great. I managed to have fun, riding in a group is awesome compared to riding solo. Perhaps with a few less people it'd feel even more casual, but riding in a pack certainly has a great feel to it.

I enjoyed being able to talk to those who turned up about some riding tips, equipment and so forth. It was also great to put faces to names.

    You're a good lot!

See you possibly in a fortnight, I might not be there next week (given that i'm splitting my priorities on a wednesday now... )

Well, some good news for a change...

Got my bike back, finally! I'm going to take it in for a new WOF today, then go and get a haircut... and spend the rest of the afternoon riding!

Absolutely beautiful day for a ride. Met up with Spuds1234 at Northlands Mall and decided to head over Dyers Pass Road and fang out to Diamond Harbour and Godley House. Great ride over there, apart from a little traffic towards the end... lovely and sunny, warm, no breeze... Enjoyed a quiet drink out at the pub in the sunshine, then honked back over the hill and home again. Nice run on the way home too, chasing a racey Audi back over the hill Running up the hill I lost much ground, with the NZ's lack of grutn... but would always catch him up again round the twisty bits. Grinned all the way home. Cheers for the ride Alex
