Yeah I'm in Papakowhai, Porirua till mid Dec. DeneFoster and I do the South Coast most weekends but I am off to Blenheim for good in Dec. Here's a pic of last weekend's epic...400 vertical metres down a goat track. Sorry about the photo quality but we were all pretty busy fighting gravity. Basically we rode most of the way through scrub from the top of the hill you see down to sea level. Talk about pucker factor!

Who is that on the XLR is that you or another mate? Dene has the DRZ still does he? Your profile says you have a DRZ.

Dene knows Aslan and we've all met at the weekly lunches - do we know you out of your KB name?
    Cheers

Nah, that's Ben on the XLR (another mate - we got 250's together a couple years back to get our licenses on). Dene told me about the lunches but I work up at Trentham so it's not really a goer. Yeah that's Dene on the 400 in the photo's. My one is laying on its side in one of the pics.

Looking forward to finding new places down Marlborough, but I will miss Wellies I think. Still, I have a few weeks left here, a couple will probably even be without wife and kids!

Cheers Mark - I've been reading of your escapades on that mighty new blue machine of yours from over here in Europe. Looks like you've been having a blast. Best regards to you and all of the others - hope to see you in November. Cheers S

PM me your number mate and one of us can drop you a line. I won't be going for another two weeks myself as I am flat out around the home getting ready to sell. It is a hoot down there - heaps of sand, a lot of rock, a few stream crossings, a few dunes. It's closed on Sundays, so either one evening after work or early Sat is the best. The WR would love it (once you've finished flushing it)- 80-100km/h along some of the beaches further round where walkers and newbies in their townie SUV's can't be bothered going. Usually she's pretty busy for the first 5-6km of track on Saturdays so you've really got to go slow, give way, be polite etc. Council has put up heaps of signs on all the fun bits where they want to deny vehicle access and plant tussocks. Defies logic really considering the area is mostly rock and is always subjected to storm erosion and slips as a matter of natural course. But anyways, it's a great place for vehicles.
