Weather is looking good, long range forecast might be in next w/ends favour.
And all the Labour w/end campers will have left.
Mwhaaahaaaa.... The best weekend will be all mine
Seven K traffic jam at the Kopu bridge as I type.
Didn't do much Labour Weekend, (so saved money by not spoiling the girlfriend), so I thought I might try soft bait braid line fishing off the rocks at Coro this weekend.
the rig is quite light, but will easly deal with Pan size snapper, and the soft baits should work well in fading light. Kannys jealous that she hasn't got her learners yet, so can't take the wee volty.
Mmmm Snapper for tea. All up cost of $130.00, + $10 for the PVC to make the holder.(will fit on the Scrambler down the left side, bungyed to a few points.
Whats the route Triboy? Meeting place and time? I'm keen to go on this trip.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."
Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
How does 12.00 noon Sat at a petrol station in Thames sound?
Gives enough time to cruise up to the tip, pitch a tent etc and have a nosey about, or drop a line.
Sunday, shoot across to Stony Bay, and maybe wet a line off a jetty or something. Looks like a anticyclone will give settled weather Sat/Sun.
I think fuel can still be bought at that little shop a few Kms back from the tip.
Sounds cool mate. Gonna carry a 4litre in the bags any way as my tank only holds 8litres. Will pack my rod as well, sounds like good fun.

Sweet. Just need to pic up another Butane cannister for the wee cooker and I should be set.
Give me a PM if ya need a thermo mattress or something, and I might be able to squeeze it on, otherwise do a basic personal camp kit, and were laughing.
Anyone else keen, let us know.![]()
Na man, got a camp stretcher, absolute LUXURY! Fits on the rack with the tent very nicely with the sleeping bag and fuel can each in a saddle bag.

Sat 12.00 noon meeting point is Caltex Service Station, Pollen st Thames.(main street).
I have contacted Coro info, and fuel is still on sale at the Colville store, which improves fuel range for bikes>![]()

So, I can't be screwed writing up a long winded report on the ride, as I type like a retard, so ya get a very brief run down.
