Nah you'll only get roasted for getting pulled over 30+ times a year. If a speed camera is gonna get you from the front? SMILE!

Just rock on by, revelling in the fact you aren't in a cage.

Or you can give Aunty Helen a token wave of appreciation for the commendable effort she puts into collecting taxes. One finger usually suffices.

There's a fixed government surplus collecting installment near by my place. I've often thought of doing just a bit over and giving the double deuce to the camera, but I've always had the paranoid thought that they'd use such photos as evidence to get bikes to have number plates up front. Or the Ford Commodores around town would be placed on high alert for a black VFR with a primer-erd tail.

Yea, dont do just for fun.
If they realise there missing out on alot of revenue they'll do something about it, and were not going to like that something.

You DO realise that if you ARE speeding they can take your photo - and then manually write down your number as you go past them don't you????

And then send you the ticket??

Theres that van on the Hutt motorway, he sometimes sits on the north bound side between kelson and the haywards in the evenings. Its very dark there, you can be quietly minding your own business at 112kmp and "poof".

Not a problem - pop a wheelie the second you get hit by the flash and don't drop it until 100 m further down the road.

They'd have to be seriously quick with their note taking or have a camera in order to grab your number though.

Hey, does anone remember those two on a couple of sportsbikes (one was a blade, thats all i remember) in the south island that were snapped at 120plus sitting on the bars by a front facing camera? Did they ever catch up with them?

There was a recent thread about this issue in the UK (search - links to newspaper articles). This dude used to regularly get photoed from the front giving the finger.
Certainly got the attention of the cops and they hunted him down, starting by phoning all the bikeshops and getting lists of buyers. Pretty serious expenditure, but they got him then threw the book at him.

So yes, if they want to they can get you.
