Excellent. The result is likely to be very entertaining. We live in a small country - they can run but they can't hide.

    Update

    Briefly:
    >Search warrant issued, still waiting results, (can't say too much here)
    >We have blurry security photos of the bad guys driving away in their van.
    >Insurance claim still being processed and is waiting for the police report,
    >Stuff the insurance ... we bought Mrs Oakie a replacement bike on Saturday morning anyway. (CB250 Jade ... inline 4 ... handles really nicely and sounds like a sewing machine on steroids)
    >Happiness has returned to the house of the Oakies.

All good and well, congrats on new bike to stable (why, it's the forerunner to my own little ol'hornet!)

Let's hope some positive action comes through about the ratbags who theft the original ride!

    Developments

Once again I can't give too many details out on a public forum at this stage but I can say that a search warrant was executed today which resulted in the chassis (and nothing else) of Mrs Oakie's Eliminator being found in a garage. The fella has been arrested and will be spending a nice quiet night in a small room before appearing in court tomorrow. He is expected to be remanded to appear next Friday. The police are searching for a couple of other people but, yeah, I can't say too much on here in case they check out this site.
I'd love to get down to the court tomorrow to eyeball him but I've got too much on at work. Hopefully I can get down next week for the hearing but on top of everything else, I don't really want to waste a whole day of annual leave on the mongrel.
The other good news we got today was that Swann Insurance have accepted the claim and will be paying out around what we expected to be paid in a few days. We lose our no claims bonus on top of excess and unpaid monthly premiums but the police have asked us to quantify those losses and they will try for reparation from the evil-doer. Of course we only get money if he has money but to be honest in lieu of that, I'd be quite satisfied if he had to spend a wee bit of time in jail and came out with a sore bum!

    It's been a good day!

Good stuff, Oakie. And at least you are not left 'wondering' who, what, where....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Good one Oakies!!

But if it was me I'd still want a lot of pain to be inflicted on the theiving cretins that took the bike...

Good news, and on the positive side - there must be some of those ever-so-hard-to-get EL250 parts out there for other Eliminator owners.

Well I'm not really a 'pain' person. Mental anguish is more my style. I thought a couple of weeks back that it might be fun to cruise slowly past his house on the odd 'Cruisy Wednesday Ride' with a bunch of other KBers in tow ... just to let him know we care ... like.

Sweet news in some respects that insurance came through and the scrote has been caught, shame that he nicked the bike in the first place. Shame that there is no way to ensure that the retard can not ever do this trick again, are the police keeping an eye this chaps recent trademe activity?

Good thought. I wonder how you'd find out if he had an account.

I would think if the cops searched his house the could have seized his computer for further searching, that would be a good start for them, that is if the rectum orifice has the intelligence to operate a computer.
