Jan 07....New Brakes.....$340.55
Apr 07.... Ohlins fitted front and rear....$2797.02
June 07....Stepper Motor and Housing....$520.99
Aug 07....New rear tyre (pilot road)....$320 approx (no invs)
Nov 07....New Chain and Sprockets....$346

Grand total of $4324.56 spent this year on it...
Is it time to stop spending and upgrade, i have thought long and hard about it...still in two minds, i just keep thinking...whats next?
I love the bike and suits me for what i do, i may have answered my own question!....

No. NO! You have all this new stuff - esp. the Ohlins - and rather than watching the money going down the gurgler you should enjoy the bike!!

Your big cost in that lot is the Ohlins goodys, every thing else is what I would consider maintanence items. defently keep it. Unless youcan take the Ohlins out Trade it in with Robert for more godys on your new stead.

Naaaaaa all the old shit is gone, i have put a Neptune can on it, Stebel horn, kept up with service's, didnt add those into the equation.

well honstly if you are happy with your bike and not really giving you any major headaches, why sell it, yes there is always something newer, shiney etc.

But something sometimes it can be just as good to spend a work on present bike(eg like you have done with ohlins to improve the bike), and just ride it.

I mean some of the parts you have listed above are just normal wear and tear any bike, and goes in cycles some years you spend heaps but next year you don't spend as much.

Everything on the list really needed to be done, no question, and i know that what has been done will never have to be repeated (cos i will upgrade eventually) maybe the rear tyre cos im hard on those.... i just thought today that, i read a thread yesterday about someone was finding it hard to spend money on gas for their bike, its not the money its the spending for me...but it has to be done, thats the nature of what we do.

I use to....every July on my birthday....off down to Holeshot, but not this year cos the Ohlins had not long been fitted

Little point wasting that money on the Ohlins is it - which is what it will be if you sell it.

Brakes, tyres and chain and sprocket are just consumables.
Already done brakes and tyres on the Fazer and it is only 4 months old, will be up for a new set of tyres in a couple of weeks too.

Must be a flash chain you have there, The GSXR only cost $245.00 fitted for chain and both sprockets.
