Graemeeboy raises an interesting point regarding the UK.

The UK is a socialist stronghold - perhaps it's another indication that socialism is a disease. After all, Sweden, NZ, and the UK share unacceptably high youth crime rates, as well as a socialist government.

    The "race riots" in Oz?

Hmm... I'm assuming you're referring to Cronulla, where locals retaliated against Middle-Eastern youths going on to beaches and ordering white women to "cover up" and spitting food at them.

Stating that free speech is only restricted at election time is a misnomer. It's for the entire year, and spending (unless you are the ruling party) for the entire term. That's hardly "only at election time"

"Laws shouldn't be based on science"

WTF? Common sense isn't so common. So what should laws like that be based on, if not what will provide the greatest positive benefit to the community? Sharia law? Religion? The personal beliefs of a select few (what we currently have)?

The societal destruction is reflected in crime statistics - I doubt that further clarification is necessary. The fact that the Counties/Manukau region overtook Washington D.C. in terms of violent crime per capita in 2005 is not something to celebrate

And why do you think that is? Could it be that the steepening slippery slope of state-control has nearly reached the bottom? I shudder to think what happens when a near-vertical slope meets a near-flat surface....

What happens when a speeding object (society) on that steepening slope meets....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

If a village is in danger of being buried in an Avalanche they take protective measures to make sure it doesn't happen. Walls, proactive avalanche control, warning systems etc.

They don't just sit back and enjoy the time they have left and hope it doesn't happen.

It's all well seeing the good in everything and living on faith, but real strength is seeing how good things can be and doing all you can to make real change.

Okay, an avalanche is a more than likely scenario.

The real strength is dealing with what happens too.

Unfortunately for womankind, it's true in this instance. Man hating women have taken control of NZ... and look whats happened!

It used to be acceptable behavior to burn such witches in public. The good old days.

I take it you're referring to Garth and not Grahameeboy.

The mustachioed wunder-grump in the Harold. Grahameeboy doesn't actually go on about his religion that much or preach where he's not wanted. He's still wrong though!
