Ok kind people, I have organised with the Hutt City Council to have the seat put in on the 28thish (weather Dependant) of November. So anyone who wants to gather to try the seat out, have a gander at it, remember Bruce and then go for a bit of a ride, meet at Avalon Park carpark on Fairway Drive at 10am on Saturday the 1st of December. No set in stone plans, we'll just take it as it comes.
Thanks for all your contributions and work folks, this wouldn't be possible without you all. I will post pics later for the out of towners and people who couldn't make it, as I'm mindful that there will be people who wanted to come but will be at Bruce and Daryl's trackday that is on Sunday.
    Cheers guys and gals.

I would love to be there, but unfortunately I live on another island. Photos will be appreciated.

I will visit the seat, hopefully early next year.

It's great that it's being installed on a Wednesday, Bruce being a stalwart of TCWNR and all. A Wednesday ride in honour of Bruce on Wednesday 28 November could be a plan -- as well as Trudi's gig. Those who are there could do it anyway without any palaver. To the Red Pub in Featherston -- a favourite stop of Bruces?

I really like that idea! Unfortunately I will be out of town on 1st Dec but would really like to join this ride.... Will try and borrow a bike for it, otherwise I will come down to the duckpond anyway.....

    Thumbs up

Great job Trudes! If I can't be there on my bike (due to this pesky and ongoing shoulder injury) I'll be there anyway with camera to take some snaps.
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

    Sweet, that would be kewl!!

Not overly sure how much dosh will be left over at this point, but was thinking if we do have some, we could take a ride to an SPCA (either the one in town or Kapiti or Masterton) to donate the left over funds. I know there are some people keen on a ride out to Castlepoint, but personally I don't know if I will be up for it, so just a suggestion.?? Comments??

Not sure if the right place, but the site of UB's crash doesn't lend itself well to lots of biker stopping. Has been on my mind for quite a while.

Bruce used to spend a lot of time at the 'Fish' in Martinborough (now 'Toppys') over the months/year (and a bit) that I knew him...

Sounds like an idea to me Skels, maybe we could all venture over to Martinborough for a bit of lunch at Toppys from the park, and those that want to continue to Castlepoint can do so.
