Bugger that.In theory if properly maintained linkage bearings should last the life of the bike.
I went for a ride a couple of weekends ago on a farm and rode through a substantial amount of cow patties..... man did the bike/garage/my clothes stink after that! And what a mission getting it off once it dried! It sticks to everything like glue.![]()

Nothing like the smell of cow shit and two strokes in the morning!
bugger, i thought this thread was going to be a bike cleaning service! man i would be down for that!! drop the bike off covered in mud, pick it up gleaming like new....
And would you like oil change and air filter with that sir?

Clean...? What is this clean thing you speak of?
If the world didn't suck so much, we would all fall off
i just use the steam cleaner at work lol2 minutes and its like brand new
i clean my bike week with fleetwash (truck wash) have never had a problem aye, works well the crc it once its dry and oil the chain. still good so far, done 80 odd hours and its only just a year old.
Carefull witha steam cleaner, if you have hairline cracks in metal it will eat out from the inside with rust.

farr tell me about it man! i live on a farm wif cows, and if i want 2 go for a ride theres no avoiding the cow crap!
would the cold power trick work wif cow poo? will try it tomorrow and tell u fellas, thats if its not raining!
last weekend i took my bike 2 kimmys wif 1 day old cow poo still stuck on it, at the end of the day the jet blasters wouldnt even get the shit off my plastics!! i was so gutted.![]()
My choice is what I choose to do,
And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you.

Yes is hard to get the ali clean, epsecially when clay has been stuck to it, I will give the Cold Power / Dynamo thing a go though.
Water blasting a motorbike is bad news, it forces water and dirt into all the crevices bearings etc, plus how many ali radiators are damaged by water blasters.
I would only use a water blaster for under guards and tires and rims
