Now the Dust Devils are not taking any new recruits we seem to be the premiere Adventure crew for Christchurch and surrounding areas. Actually I think this Forum was getting to be the place to be for organised rides big and small before them DDs stopped taking new recruits.

Most welcome to come along for a ride. This one will be fairly leisurely.

You just remained me - Phil asked that I contact him if we are plan anything like this ride.

How painful do you think Kenda Trak Masters will be on this? Mainly the seal and putting up with the noise and wallowing through corners...
My only other option is my suzuki 17in road rims with Battlax front and Metzler Sahara 3 on the rear, which probably wont be ideal if the going is rough due to the lightweight nature of the rims...Hmm

hmm, runs off and Googles Kenda Trak Masters.... picture looks like a bit of an ugly tyre for sealed road sections, thinking... thinking... thinking... I'm sure you'll survive, It's not like we will be spending hours riding on the sealed bits.

Other side of the coin i guess is that Lees Valley could be done on any old tyre if you took a little more care in places.

Thats the tyre that Plug was running on the back of the dakar along with a D606 front. Didnt seem to worry him to much. As TA says - not that much time on seal and no rush. Will be as much "fun" as you make it

But isn't Plug the type of person who doesn't seem worried when he falls off and holes the case either

Weather looking OK so far but there is nasty rain storms in the pipeline. Just hope that they don't get here sooner.
