It is when the fraudsters seriously start eating into the huge interest take on credit cards, will the banks do anything about fraud containment.

Bang on! Credit cards make Banks (and online businesses etc) so much money that the cost of fraud across the whole economy would need to eat into it considerably before it was worth doing something about.

But why not mention tha Trocadero owner Asif Aziz has been sued for US$20 million over allegations he defrauded a lebanese businessman once thought to be involved in the trade in African blood diamonds. Or, if that's too far away for you, what about the fact that a Panmure GP has been charged with defrauding the Department of Health of $1.4 million. Or that FINSEC have urged banks to fully indemnify customers against online fraud.

Why were none of those worth a mention. Oh, becuase it didn't involve the darling butter-wouldn't-melt-never-hurt-a-fly-innocent-as-the-day-is-long Labour party.

Quasi, no offence mate but large orders to overseas purchasers should have sent alarm bells. This would be clearly explained in the visa/mastercard merchant guidelines.

Not that I'm a fan of visa nor the banks. They get their cut regardless then wash their hands of the matter when shit hits the fan.

Interestingly one of the alledged fraudsters is saying that he will pay direct into our account via a bank transfer, possibly he is legite, we have got the bank to set up a seperate account for this possible transaction one with no money in it, so will see what happens.

Not only happening like you got done, I've had to sell my bike to pay my creditors cos some dickhead Company won't pay me, good part about it I no I'm going to get my money after a court hearing on the 18th of Jan. Life sucks sometimes theres a lot of s..t heads about riping people off.
