why the heck were you doing that speed anyways?

i don't speed at night for the ismple fact, there the same amount of cops on the road but less other vehicles.....so chances are the car coming down the road is a cop more than it will be in the daytime.

and they have less vehicles to pull over so are gunna go after whatever they can..quotas to fill blah blah....

    silly boy.

but hey shit happens.....ive been pulled up 38 times in 2 years.

Oh good god could you think of anything worst than that.

skid pulls someone over and then shows them how to pull a wheelie down the motorway with one hand.

What can I expect in court given that it was 52kmh over on an expressway, no other traffic at all on the road (the police car was hiding under a bridge), dry road, no current demerits and only had a couple of small speeding fines in the past.

The policeman was not unreasonable about things but wouldn't consider taking a couple of km off to save a lot of hassle later on. I did my absolute best to be well behaved and not vent. Anyone know how accurate those stalkers are because if I can get a couple of km off then it will just be a whopping big fine and 50 demerits (and still a 28 day walk).
Someone once told me, if you get pinged by the Man, you ask to see the calibration cert. for the radar they used to detect your speed. Aparently they need to be carrying this with them and it must (of course) be current. Just a thought...will try it myself next time...oh yes...there will be a next time.
If it ain't broke...fix it till it is!!

You tend to find them on the side of the radar i think, i remember watching police 10 7 one night and as soon as the cop said the guy was speeding he ask the cop when it was calibrated last, (was that week) the cop said afterwards that a few people try it on and it never works.

Not gunna work when your stopped at a red light notice a policecar pull up behind you and then he puts his lights on and says he's been following you. Of course he wouldn't put his lights on until he's got your plate. Not that I would entertain such an idea anyway.

You are likely stuffed here !

You chose exactly the wrong time to speed.. remember the rules

    - Choose quiet back roads that are unlikely to be policed
    - Choose winding roads that help keep your speed changing, and are fun at speeds close to the limit
    - Ride in a group
    - Only tail end charlie ever stops for a cop - (no one else saw him !)
    - Don't admit the offence EVER

Stalker radar is good for about 0.3% +/- 3.2 km/hr, depending on which of the Stalker manuals you read !

In mobile mode it may be in your favour or the cops. In stationary mode (ie when the cop is parked) it's actually likely to be in your favour - you were possibly going faster than the ticket speed.

You should always deny tickets, particularly if they are going to cost you your licence.

It WILL cost you more if you lose, but actually the cops lose too.

Don't forget, the cop gets paid to go to court. But he is not being productive. His boss hates that, and regardless of what they tell you, it IS all about money.

(Thats why over the Xmas period we chucked zillions at "road safety" yet petty cash at surf livesavers. Guess who saved the most lives.)

And DON'T think you will always lose. With careful preparation you will win. If you are ticketed with radar while in a group, you will win.

The cop may F.Up - In the last one we took to court, the cop included his competency certificate to use radar, but it excluded mobile mode so we won.

Also, Cops leave the force regularly, massive turnover. He may leave, be reposted, etc etc, or may simply be busy on something important and not show up at court.

If you are doing something bloody stupid you deserve all you get. But the vast majority of revenue-collecting tickets should cost the cop three hours sitting in the court.

Best investment in court costs you will ever make, cos we all win, even when we lose.
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.
