    Schumacher to MotoGP

    fm mcnews.com.au

F1 legend Michael Schumacher is set to make his GP debut on two wheels... Apparently the German will race at Jerez, Sachsenring and Catalunya, three circuits he knows well from his F1 days. Schumacher will ride a Ducati and is currently training for his three wildcard MotoGP outings.

Good on him. Mike (the bike) Hailwood did the same thing successfully, from bikes to F1, then back again!

    Times

If he puts in the times and qualifies good on him, will be interesting to see how he fares.

Do we really want that kind of person unleashed on 2 wheels with others on the track? Remember he will purposefully crash and take someone out of the race to win at all costs. 100% skill 0% sportsmanship.

    Once

I think that he may get a shock when out there and he finds that he is not the best. One should always give someone the benefit of the doubt and once he has had his first crash he may realise just what he has got himself into and be more respectful on the track, possibly!

Oh, you're not one of those people are you? I suppose you are from the UK, they always used to get upset about him I have news -- it was all Damon Hill's fault

Schumacher was always brilliant in the wet or on crap tyres. Suggests he knows more about the basic science of rubber-on-tarmac and suspension physics than the average driver. Won't be so surprising then if he does OK. Can also recall him doing almost a full lap of Spa-Francorchamps on three wheels when one of the front ones went missing. Didn't hang around, either!

Very cool. Looking forward to see what he does.

At least he has the balls to go out and do it,not like Alonso who said he could beat Rossi if he practiced(cock!),then pull out cause his contract says he's not allowed.
Will be great to watch Shuey out there though.

he was riding a good pace a couple of months back, enough so to ride mid-field in motogp, at the time he was saying he was just having fun and wasnt going to get into it seriously. Best of luck to him, wish i had the chance!

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

Mate...the fuckhead waited till Hill came around then he PURPOSELY drove into him!

He should've been stripped of all his points and sent to the arse bandit bin!

Without doubt...that was the worst bit of bad sportsmanship/dangerous fucked up crap I've ever seen.

Good as he is...he should've been banned as drug cheats are.

    Well see

He is a good driver - no doubt about that.
I suspect he's a dick, and would always support his nearest rival
Until a bigger dick came along in the form of Alonso - he has an even worse sportsman attitude

I read in KR that he was only 5 seconds a lap off the top times - but add it up, first bike over the line after 1 lap then....
one thousand and one, one thousand and two, one thousand and three, one thousand and four, one thousand and five ... here he comes
fast but not realistic - multiply that across 21 laps or so - that's over a minute off the pace.
It's also a very different story riding in close quarters in a bike race on the track - than what he's been use to

I think the whole thing is a publicity stunt that will go nowhere; I won't believe it until I see him out there.
Remember how difficult it was for Rossi to pick up rally driving.
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on

I feel sorry for the lads who try their guts out year after year looking for this sort of opportunity... along comes joni cum fuckwit and he gets to guest ride in three GPs. Not on at all.
